Nutritional Snacks and Lunches


Starting school with a full tummy gives you lots of energy to learn throughout the day. Thus, having a healthy breakfast will kick start your day and allow your brain to wake up and begin processing valuable information. As your school day continues, time is allotted for snacks to be eaten as well as your lunch. Parents when making your child's lunch please pack them nutritional meals that consist of all four food groups. I encourage healthy fruits and vegetables instead of sugary treats that do not hold any nutritional value. Further, parents please remember that both my classroom and Blue Willow Public School are a nut free facilities. Parents if you would like nutritional snack and lunch ideas I encourage you to go to the teach nutrition website which provides helpful tips. Further I encourage you to sit down with your child and explain healthy food choices and how to construct a healthy meal.
